2025年4月13日。
大阪万博の幕開けと共に、「太陽のつぼみ」と
名付けられた
実験的サウナ装置が産声をあげる。
これまでのサウナの概念を超えた、未知なる体験。
繊細で力強い膜によって構築されたサウナ空間に、
海、草木、風の空気を纏った太陽のエネルギーが降りそそいでゆく。
自然の活力が、私たちの心と体を調わせ、人としての原点に回帰させていく。
これは、あらゆる人と人、
そして人と地球のあり方を再知覚するための、
我々人類に備わる共感覚を呼び覚ます実験的装置である。
太陽のつぼみは、再び、ひらく。
ここから、人類同士が、
そして人類と自然とが共鳴しあう未来がはじまる。

As the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan begins, an experimental sauna device named TAIYO TSUBOMI is born.
A completely new experience that transcends the conventional concept of saunas.
Within a sauna space constructed from delicate yet powerful membranes, the sun's energy, infused with the essence of the sea, greenery, and wind, pours down. The vitality of nature harmonizes our minds and bodies, guiding us back to our fundamental human essence.
This is an experimental device designed to awaken our innate synesthetic senses—allowing us to re-perceive the relationship between people and between humanity and the Earth.
TAIYO TSUBOMI opens once again.
From here, a future begins—one where humankind and nature resonate as one.

建築
「太陽のつぼみ」の躯体は、最小限のアルミフレームとETFEフィルムと空気だけで構成されたテトラ形状のユニットによる、これまでにない膜建築です。最小限の部材で最大限の空気のボリュームを包みこみ、軽量ながらも安定性や断熱性を兼ね備えた、膜ならではの柔らかなデザインを実現しました。ETFEユニットは組み合わせ方によりさまざまな汎用性があると同時に、空気を抜くとコンパクトになるため容易に移設や再利用も可能です。つぼみのように熱を包むサウナ、光に染まり風が抜けるラウンジ、開放的な水風呂という個性的な3棟が、緑豊かなプラットフォームと共に豊かなサウナ体験を創り出します。
The frame of TAIYO TSUBOMI is an unprecedented membrane architecture, consisting of a tetra-shaped unit consisting only of a minimal aluminum frame, ETFE film, and air. We have achieved a soft design unique to membranes that encloses the maximum volume of air with a minimum of materials, and is lightweight yet has stability and insulation properties.
ETFE units have various versatility depending on how they are combined, and at the same time, they become compact when the air is removed, so they can be easily relocated and reused. Three unique buildings, a sauna that wraps in heat like a bud, a lounge soaked in light and airy, and an open water bath, create a rich sauna experience along with a platform full of greenery.

- 「太陽のつぼみ」のコンセプト「自然との共鳴」「共感覚の呼び覚まし」を実践的に伝える存在として、サウナガイドはサウナ空間に満ちる太陽や海、植物といった自然エネルギーを感じ取る手助けをし、来場者が深いリラックスと心身の調和を得られるよう導きます。
このサウナガイドのためのユニフォームは、SOPH. とTTNEがコラボレーションして制作。SOPH. のモダンかつ都会的なデザインセンスと、TTNEのサウナカルチャーに関する深い知見を融合させた、革新的でタイムレスな一着です。機能的で快適な着心地を追求すると同時に、自然や人との調和を象徴するデザインが特徴で、サウナガイドがサウナ空間と来場者を結びつける“架け橋”としての役割を果たすうえで欠かせない存在となっています。 - As the embodiment of TAIYO TSUBOMI's concepts—“resonance with nature” and “awakening of synesthesia”—sauna guides help guests sense natural energies like the sun and ocean, leading them to deep relaxation and a harmonious mind-body balance.
This uniform, a collaboration between SOPH. and TTNE, unites SOPH.'s modern, urban design with TTNE's sauna-culture expertise, resulting in an innovative yet timeless piece. While prioritizing comfort and functionality, its design symbolizes harmony between nature and people, enabling sauna guides to serve as a “bridge” connecting the sauna space and its visitors.
